Update March 2013

So mostly I'm updating for Jolie who called everyone out about their blogs never being written anymore.

So here are the major things right now:

1. Still waiting to find out about the furlough, As of right now Josh is still losing 40% of his pay check because they are doing away with overtime and one extra unpaid day off per pay period. The worst part?? Congress has agreed to give the USBP the money back for funding but now Ms. HEAD OF HOMELAND SECURITY thinks it should go to other things and not paychecks... of course she is in the US top 30 highest paid government employees... yep awesome, can't wait to be broke. It could still turn around, I'm trying not to think about it and trying to concentrate on ways I can make money. 1. garage sale - we have a ton of stuff we can sell 2. etsy shop selling quilts, not sure I can make enough money to make it worth it 3. get a job that makes enough money after daycare to make it worth not seeing my kids enough 4. photography

2. Addison is getting in her 6 year molars. She is tired and cranky all the time, and is a drama queen lol. She must get that from her Aunt Kaitlin :) She loves school and her friends. She doesn't want to dance anymore but we paid for the year so I told her she has to finish. Took her ice skating this year for the first time and she loved it and was a natural, have to remember to find time to take her to the arena again.

3. Kellen is in preschool and has 2 little friends he talks about. He is a little jerk most days. I hate age 3. Age 3 was awful for Addison and it's awful for Kellen. UGH hopefully he will flip a switch when he turns 4 which is in just a few weeks. I can't believe he is 4. One of his best talents is storytelling. He and Josh have a made up character (although I think they did hear the name somewhere) "Rubber Stilldog" and they make up stories about him and "Pink Foot" every night. Kellen can tell you a 15 minute story completely made up on the spot.

4. Trent is hilarious. He is at one of my favorite ages. He is just starting to talk and his personality is really shinning through (goofy, happy, lover). He spends most of the day exploring or cuddling and giving kisses and trying to say new words. We are slowing working on potty training. He likes to go through the motions of standing at the toilet or sitting on it. I'm thinking this summer is the time to do it, when he can run around naked all day.

5. Me: I'm still struggling with my weight UGH. It's like a roller coaster of being "good" and then freaking out and eating awful. But, I've been good for about 6 weeks now and I'm seeing results finally. I've been working out daily since right after my birthday, so for about 2 months. I've also been tracking my daily steps with a pedometer. Yesterday was my first run outside (not including the one 5k race I did). It was a beautiful day and I ran 6.3 miles. I was impressed because I've only been running about once a week all winter and only 3 miles at a time. I'm proud of myself for sticking with the running, it's been over a year since I started running and could only run for about a minute, not even a whole mile, and now I just toss on my shoes and go. I think another glitch in the weight loss is that Trent still breastfeeds at night. My body does not want to let go of the fat. I've heard that many breastfeeding moms have that same problem. Normally you may loss say 2lbs a week but while breastfeeding and doing the same activities you may only lose 1lb. Anyway, I would like to lose about 25 more pounds to be at my goal weight. Ugh, big number.

So yep that's our update :)
