UGH!!!

So last night was p90x day 2... just starting out. I'm going to have to skip tonight's workout, however, as it's already almost 9 and Kellen just went to bed and Addison is still awake. So if I work out for an hour that would be about 10:30 then I would still need a shower and time to relax... then I would be exhausted tomorrow morning.

I am so tired of Kellen being sick!! He just had diarrhea about 5 times in this last hour. And, I'm supposed to collect a stool sample and bring it to the hospital; but, it needs to be fresh so of course I can't use all that poo from tonight =/ I want to know what is wrong with him.

I am also tired of my house looking so dirty and of my garden not being fully planted. I need a full day to clean and with 4 kids 5 days a week that doesn't happen. Plus I need at least an hour in the garden which is hard to get unless Addison helps which isn't that much help. And, why is it that Josh doesn't have common courtesy with picking up after himself. I don't mind cleaning up after the family. He should be able to pick up his clothes and put them in the hamper, throw away his dirty tissues, put stuff away after he uses it, and actually keep the bathroom decent (like no loogies in the sink... and not having every bathroom item he own on the sink counter which is very small...). I have tried letting things go until he notices; he doesn't notice. I don't wash any of his clothes that don't make it into a hamper and I really don't think he notices that there are around 35 t-shirts piled directly in front of our bedroom door. I think if/when we put an addition on this house it will include a his and hers bath completely separate from each other!!!!!

Today Kellen had blood work done to test for the enzyme that indicates one may have Celiac disease. He has had diarrhea for 3 weeks now and we don't know whats wrong. We have yet to rule out lactose; but, he is currently on a no dairy, no fruit diet. I don't want him to have celiac's; but, if he does have something wrong I do hope it's something like celiac's or lactose intolerance because those are rather easy to control. Of course if he does have celiac's then our house will have to become completely gluten free, which is ok... I will just be a closet gluten eater LOL. Everyone will be in bed and I will be in the laundry room chocking down bread and cookies HAHA!

Dancing Queen

Yesterday was Addison's very first dance recital. She did great! She was really the only one who did the correct dance the whole way through. Not that she did it fabulous but she was actually trying the whole time. It was so adorable. Afterward, she was so excited to get praise, flowers, and a barbie doll. She had such a big smile on her face. Irresistible.

I've been watching Austyn now along with Jace and so far so good. Kellen has been a little jealous, especially once he realized that the first day wasn't a one time deal! She is so adorable and squishy =) Today I gave her lots of tummy time and she seemed quite content she must have laid there for 45 minutes just watching and listening to what was going on around her.

I want to go to Woods tonight and get some flowers for in front of our house. My mom went there and got some and hers look really nice. I also need some round up for our stubborn weeds!! My to do list for next weekend includes pressure washing the house and then possibly starting to repaint the front and side porches. I planted more of my plants outside yesterday. Got some tomatoes and peppers out there now along with pumpkins, gourds, yellow squash, zucchini, and watermelon. Hopefully, everything grows or I will be very disappointed!

It's so quite right now, Addison went with daddy to visit Gramma and to pick up some soy milk for Kellen; and, the other 3 are sleeping =) I guess I need to go out and water my plants quickly while I have time!!

Today I started P90X again. I was out of shape!!! This time I'm going to make it the full 90 days, no quitting in phase 2! I've got 20 stubborn pounds to lose still!! Maybe if I blog about it I will be more likely to finish it, it helped last time to post on facebook that I was keeping it up. However, waking up at 5am not so fun!!!!!!!!!

i need more willpower

Addison and I planted some seeds today and some of our plants; including beans, onions, carrots, radish, spinach, and peas. We were going to plant our pumpkins, squash, zucchini, watermelon and gourds but the old pasture is still too wet and I'm afraid the seeds will rot. Our tomatoes are going to stay in side for a while yet, in our indoor greenhouse. I did, however, put them outside for the day to get them used to cooler weather. Addison was so cute helping. I tried to show her how to poke seeds into the dirt, but, she had her own ideas. Let's just say one of my raised beds is going to be a random array of plants! At one point she dumped around 30 pea seeds in the same spot =) She had so much fun doing it though so no worries. As long as things grow it doesn't matter if they are orderly or not. She kept saying "I'm so excited Mama!" and, "can I plant more seeds?"

Pop, Gram, Nathan and Mom all came over today and were working on the swing set for the kiddies. I was afraid it would rain, but, besides getting cold, the weather held. Most of the tower section is now put together. This swing set has been a pain to put together. There have been a few missing boards and the slide that came doesn't fit. We are not too sure what to do about that; because, we could notch the slide but this might make it unstable, or, we could send it back. All in all the playground seems to be coming together.

Tomorrow we are going to the circus. I hope they have elephant rides and things like that for Addison to do. She would love it! This circus promises to be much better than the last where it was like a middle school talent show.

Today I weighed 156 lbs. I have lost exactly 20 pounds since I started working out/dieting. Lately, my weight has fluctuated more, due to diet or lack thereof. I really need to stick with the nutrisystem plan exactly instead of cheating on a daily basis. I did go 3 days in a row no cheating, but, cheated today =( I need more willpower!

so it's back to the diet grind for me... apparently I gained back 4 pounds in the last month =( that makes 24 pounds to go to reach my goal weight. I really want to get there by July so I guess I need to get on it and workout too. I'm thinking I might start the P90X grind again as well. It seems like some of my friends have decided to try it too after my success.

A day in May

Why oh why is it only 40 degrees in May? I went white water rafting yesterday, the same place I went while a freshman in college, and it was freezing... 37 degrees and with some snow flurries!!! My brother planned the whole event for about 20 people because he wanted to go for his birthday. According to the guides we had "awesome water" 5000 cc or something? I dunno but they were lvl 3, 4 & 5 rapids. We had a great time even though it was really cold, it was a fun way to celebrate Nate's birthday and Mother's Day.

I became an aunt, again, on April 5 thanks to my sister-in-law Jordan. She had a little baby girl, Austyn, and she is adorable and squishy and giving me the baby urges of course! Kerm is going back to work on the 17th of May and asked if I wanted to babysit for her full time. How could I say no? I get to cuddle the little squishy one all day and make a little money doing it =)

I'm really on the fence about grad school. I can't seem to make myself commit to 2.5 years of school costing over $50,000 in student loans, when I'm not even sure if I will like the job. On top of that NYS has a ton of teachers on the market looking for jobs. There have been unheard of applicants for positions up here in the north country, where more than 200 people have applied for one possition; and these people are from all over the state. This means that it could also be extremely difficult to even get a job when I'm finished. On top of that I was settling for teacher because it was one of 4 masters programs at Potsdam State, which I applied to because it was the only school that was affordable. I'm not really sure what to do, I don't think I want to go, but I feel guilty not going now that I've been accepted...
